DESCRIPTION:The deadline to register for this event has passed. No applications received after January 19th 11:59PM EST will be considered.  \nBoston Children’s Hospital\, ranked a top pediatric hospital in the nation\, is excited to announce its upcoming 2024 Virtual Research Recruitment Week\, held February 5. 2024 – February 8\, 2024. This exclusive invite-only\, week-long event will provide top-performing graduating seniors with the opportunity to engage in a virtual setting directly with hiring managers and Principal Investigators\, fostering meaningful connections and insights into potential career paths within the renowned hospital’s research community. The event will kick off with an Opening Panel on Monday\, February 5th\, 2024\, from 5 pm to 6 pm EST\, featuring insights from a panel of distinguished researchers. Following this\, table discussions with hiring managers and Principal Investigators will take place from 4 pm to 7 pm EST on Tuesday\, February 6th\, through Thursday\, February 8th. \nThe Panel Discussion will feature:  \n\nDr. Alyna T. Chien\, MD\, MS\n\nResearch Director\, Division of General Pediatrics\nAssociate Professor | Department of General Pediatrics | Harvard Medical School\nTeam focus: Use of incentives to improve healthcare quality and spending. Dr. Alyna Chien has conducted a variety of studies that examine the effectiveness of payment reforms like pay-for-performance in adult and pediatric settings.\n\n\nSusan Faja\, Ph.D.  \n\nLaboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience\nAssistant Professor of Pediatrics | Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences | Harvard Medical School\nTeam focus: Our clinical neuroscience research uses behavioral and physiological data to improve understanding of the brain development and intervention response of autistic people.\n\n\n\n  \nTo be considered for attendance\, students must: \n\nBe a recent or upcoming graduate in Winter 2023\, Spring 2024 or Summer 2024.\nReceiving a BA/BS in Biology\, Chemistry\, Neuroscience\, Life Sciences\, Health Sciences\, Social Sciences\, or a related field.\nInterest working in Bench/Wet lab and/or Clinical Research\, prior experience preferred.\n\nIf you are interested in attending the event\, please complete the registration link below.
