The Per Diem Cardiology Clinic Staff Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Supporting patient care in our Outpatient Cardiology Clinic Boston & Satellite Locations.
  • Provide team–based care to patients with symptoms requiring cardiology evaluation and patients with known congenital or acquired heart disease and arrhythmias.
  • Role involves both in-person patient care as well as phone triage.
    • In-person care involves: attendance at clinic session, nursing assessment, patient and family education, anticipatory guidance, assisting with care coordination.
    • Phone triage performed in clinic: with outside providers as well as patients and or parents and documenting in the electronic medical record.
  • Working 8 hour shifts in Boston and at satellite locations as needed. (Satellite locations vary and may include: Waltham, Peabody, Lexington, Weymouth, Norwood, Dartmouth, Milford.)
  • Required to be available to work 4 shifts in a six week schedule block, as well as a day before or after one summer holiday and day before or after one winter holiday.

To qualify, you must have:

  • BSN degree
  • Current MA RN License
  • 1 years of ambulatory or inpatient pediatric nursing experience, with preference for pediatric acute care.
  • Pediatric cardiac experience preferred
  • BLS required, PALS required after 1 year.
