The Health Affairs Project Specialist will be responsible for:
- Working closely with team members, supporting one or more projects/programs by organizing all project information.
- Tracking program/project progress and updating project dashboards. Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the progress of projects. Supporting projects and programs, escalating issues as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
- Effectively supporting cross-functional meetings of all sizes to facilitate successful collaboration and building consensus with others of different skill sets, backgrounds, and levels of experience.
- Liaising with department and other BCH staff and external partners.
- Associate’s Degree is required
- One year of experience in healthcare operations, project coordination or project management.
- Experience working in a hospital and/or healthcare management, clinical research setting is preferred
- Knowledge of clinical concepts, terminology, workflows, preferably in pediatrics or child services
- Intermediate proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of project management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills including an ability to understand and explain complex concepts including presentations of a body of work to key partners and stakeholders, orally, in writing and in presentations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic setting and to apply available tools, experience and knowledge to develop and implement flexible processes and solutions for routine and ad hoc tasks.
- Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to changes in schedules and priorities
