We are currently seeking a per diem Physical Therapist for our Boston location. Be a part of our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, rehabilitation for our pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
- Reviewing patient medical history/record and selects, administers, and interprets standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients’ functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function.
- Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendations
- Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs.
- Establishing treatment goals and administers appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities
- Discharge plans and home treatment programs, and providing education to patients and families
- Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.
- Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs.
- Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, and initiating modifications as needed.
- Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according to established documentation standards.
- Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.
- Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
Experience:
- Minimum one to two years of previous PT experience, pediatric hospital based preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Physical Therapist licensure in the state of MA
This candidate MUST be able and available to train and orient during weekdays
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
