The Boston Children’s Hospital Critical Care Transport Team employs experienced registered nurses to provide safe, efficient, family-centered care to patients requiring critical care in transit. The nurse works under the direction of the team’s medical director, utilizing patient care protocols and transport policies to deliver optimal, evidence-based care in the mobile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Total clinical nursing care of stable and unstable critically ill children during transportation – both ground and air transports.
- Communicating coordinating care with multidisciplinary team members from sending and receiving facilities.
- 36hrs; rotating days/nights and every third weekend.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
Experience:
- A minimum 3 years ICU or ED experience is required
- EMT experience preferred.
Licensure/ Certifications:
- Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- PALS/NRP/ACLS/EMT certification required within first year of employment and CCRN certification required within 2 years of employment.
*This position is eligible for a $5,000.00 sign-on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2years).
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
