Position Summary:

The Nutrition Technician assists Clinical Dietitians in delivering optimal nutritional care to patients. This role involves formula preparation, specialized breastmilk nutrition, inventory management, and use of specialized equipment. The Nutrition Technician supports the clinical nutrition team to ensure patients receive accurate and safe nutritional support.

Eligible for $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

  • Feeding Prep Center open 7 days per week (Sunday through Saturday), including weekends and holidays

  • Shift rotation include (weekdays and every other weekend)

    • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

    • 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Clinical Dietitians with nutritional care tasks including formula preparation and other food-related duties.

  • Prepare specialized breastmilk nutrition such as donor human milk diets, skim human milk, and high-calorie hind milk.

  • Assist with inventory management of breastmilk, formulas, supplements, and supplies.

  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment including Creamatocrit and Centrifuge for breastmilk preparation.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Associate’s degree from an ACEND-accredited program, or current enrollment in a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) from an ACEND-accredited program preferred

  • Certification in ServSafe preferred

  • Strong analytical skills to resolve problems using scientific, mathematical, computer, or technical principles

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations

  • Proficiency in nutrient analysis programs
