Department Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Assistant for our Weymouth multidisciplinary satellite. Our Weymouth location offers more than 48 pediatric specalities and services including MRI, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and a pulmonary function lab. The same pediatric specialists who practice at Boston Children’s main campus in Boston practice in Weymouth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients on obtaining vital signs, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit.
  • Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
  • Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
  • Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
  • Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
  • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
  • Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
  • Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts. Flexibility within the hours of 730a-530p.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 1 year Clinical Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Ambulatory experience preferred.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
