Boston Children’s Hospital, named the #1 pediatric hospital in the world by Newsweek, is excited to announce its upcoming 2025 Virtual Research Recruitment Week, held February 3rd, 2025 – February 6th, 2025.
This exclusive invite-only, week-long event will provide top-performing graduating seniors with the opportunity to engage in a virtual setting directly with hiring managers and Principal Investigators, fostering meaningful connections and insights into potential career paths within the renowned hospital’s research community.
The event will kick off with an Opening Panel on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm EST, featuring insights from a panel of distinguished researchers.
The Panel Discussion will feature:
Alisa Khan, MD, MPH
- Director, Program for Language Equity, Division of General Pediatrics
- Assistant Professor of Pediatrics | Harvard Medical School
- Team focus: The Program for Language Equity seeks to improve inclusion of patients and families who speak languages other than English in research and healthcare. She studies family engagement, family communication, patient safety, and language equity.
Mustafa Sahin, MD, PhD
- Neurologist-in-Chief, Department of Neurology
- Rosamund Stone Zander Chair Professor of Neurology | Harvard Medical School
- Elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2023.
- Team focus: Dr. Sahin directs a national consortium to study biomarkers and comparative pathobiology in three genetic disorders (TSC, PHTS and Phelan McDermid Syndrome) all associated with autism and intellectual disability.
Following the Opening panel, table discussions with hiring managers and Principal Investigators will take place from 4:00pm to 7:00pm EST on Tuesday, February 4th, through Thursday, February 6th. During these table discussions, you’ll have the chance to learn more about our labs and teams, gaining insights into our work and the exciting projects we’re undertaking. These sessions are intended as networking opportunities rather than formal job interviews, allowing for open, informative conversations.
To be considered for attendance, students must:
- Be a recent or upcoming graduate in Winter 2024, Spring 2025 or Summer 2025.
- Receiving a BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Interest working in Bench/Wet lab and/or Clinical Research, prior experience preferred.
