Boston Children’s Hospital, named the #1 pediatric hospital in the U.S. by Newsweek, is excited to announce its 2026 Research Recruitment Week, held February 23rd, 2026 – February 26th, 2026. 

Research Recruitment Week is an annual, invite-only event that gives upcoming graduates the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers and principal investigators across Boston Children’s Hospital’s research community. Participants are hand-selected based on their academic achievements, interests, and potential fit for research roles, and invited to join either the in-person Networking Day or the virtual Networking Days

Event Overview: 

Monday, February 23rd, 2026 | 5:00PM–6:00 PM EST – Opening Panel

The week begins with a virtual Opening Panel featuring insights and career journeys from distinguished researchers across Boston Children’s Hospital. All invited candidates—whether attending virtual or in-person networking days—are welcome to join.

Featured Panelist include: 

Suneet Agarwal, MD, PHD 

  • Co-Program Leader for the Stem Cell Transplant Center, Dana Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center
  • Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School
  • Team Focus: The Agarwal Lab focuses on inherited and acquired genetic blood disorders. Dr. Suneet Agarwal’s work centers especially on disorders of telomere biology, mitochondrial DNA disorders, and bone marrow failure syndromes.

Carolyn King, MPH

  • Research Program Manager, Division of General Pediatrics
  • Representing General Pediatrics Research Program and Primary Care. Research and Quality Improvement topics include (but not limited to): Patient experience and safety, healthcare quality, care delivery for children with medical and social complexity, population-level studies of environmental health, social determinants of health in a primary care setting, and social needs screening during hospitalizations.

Tuesday, February 24th | 4:00PM–7:00 PM EST – In-Person Networking Day

Candidates selected for the in-person session will visit our campus to meet directly with hiring managers, principal investigators, and current research staff. This day is designed to help participants explore roles, learn about active research projects, and make meaningful, face-to-face connections. Please note that candidates invited to the in-person event must be able to travel to Boston Children’s Hospital at their own expense, as travel accommodation is not provided.

Wednesday, February 25th & Thursday, February 26th | 4:00PM–7:00 PM EST – Virtual Networking Days

Candidates invited to the virtual sessions will have the same opportunity as those attending the in-person Networking Day to meet directly with hiring managers, principal investigators, and current research staff—just in a remote, online format.

* Please note that the specific BCH staff and teams available for meetings may vary between the in-person and virtual sessions based on their availability.

To be considered for attendance, you must:

  • Be a recent or upcoming graduate in Winter 2025, Spring 2026 or Summer 2026.
  • Receiving a BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Interest in working in Bench/Wet lab and/or Clinical Research. Prior experience is highly preferred.
