The Network Analyst II will:
- Actively manage and monitor the performance of the Hospital’s data networks to ensure that clinical, administrative, research and other critical applications have quality connectivity to their systems.
- Ensure network availability in a 7×24 hr. environment and that users have full connectivity at all times. Proactively manage the networks to avoid network overloads or reduced performance.
- Maintains the network hardware and software comprising the Hospital’s local and wide area networks.
- Assist in establishing network strategy and industry trends. Evaluate new technologies, consult with vendors, and recommend their use where appropriate.
- Provide high-level expert analysis on network-related issues. Responds to and resolve network difficulties.
- Lead projects in network design, equipment acquisition, and implements new networks. Provides technical guidance and work direction to other analysts or data technicians.
- Develop and maintain network management tools, utilities, and macros.
- Create and maintain network documentation necessary to ensure the efficient operation of Hospital networks.
- Develop network connectivity standards for Hospital’s networks including Security compliance.
- Ensures network conformance internally and externally with affiliate partnership locations.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of data scopes, breakout boxes, and other test equipment required for network management.
- Play a leadership role in the ISD capital budget for network management and network-related components.
To qualify, you must have:
- High School Degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science or a closely related field
- 2 years of experience
