The Department of Pediatric Occupational Therapy at Boston Children’s Hospital works with patients whose ability to participate in daily life is limited due to an injury, illness, or developmental issue. We help patients strengthen their existing skills and — when needed — learn how to work within their limitations so they can take part in activities at home, school, and in the community. We are currently seeking an experienced OT for our Boston outpatient department
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing occupational therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction in accordance with established departmental and professional practice guidelines, standards and protocols.
- Performing evaluations, assigning occupational therapy diagnoses
- Developing and implementing patient treatment programs and goals
- Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs
- Instructing and educating patients/families
- Arranging follow-up services as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience:
- One plus year of Pediatric hospital based OT outpatient experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- Occupational Therapist license in the state of MA
