This Clinical Nutrition Specialist I will be responsible for:
- Performing metabolic tests to analyze body composition and measure resting energy expenditure on inpatient units or outpatients in the Nutrition Assessment Lab using indirect calorimetry and air displacement plethysmography (BOD POD).
- Providing nutritional care to pediatric patients
- Evaluating the medical, biochemical, and nutritional information and assessing patient needs in order to develop and implement the most appropriate nutrition care plans.
To qualify, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and one year of dietetic experience, preferably in pediatrics. Masters preferred.
- Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian.
- Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.
- Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in‑depth, experienced‑based knowledge.
- Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and well‑developed writing skills.
