The Aerodigestive Center is a multidisciplinary team which consists of Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Speech Language Pathologist and Dietician team members.

The RN will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care in the clinic setting, facilitating patient flow, managing enteral tubes including GTube and NG tubes, cecostomy and ostomy problems and other patient needs during clinic session, working with patients with complex GI, Pulmonary and feeding disorders.
  • Providing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, health care team members and community agencies
  • Acting as primary triage contact for patient questions and phone calls.  Assisting with prior authorizations, school forms/letters and prescription refills. Collaborating daily with physician team and administrative staff.
  • Providing comprehensive patient education for patients with new diagnoses as well as those starting new treatments.
  • Identifying patient educational needs and working with other team members on the development of educational materials and educational programs.
  • Planning, organizing and overseeing policies and procedures designed to improve the patient/family experience

To qualify you must have:

  • 2-3 years pediatric nursing experience preferred.
  • A background working in children with chronic illness.
  • Patient care, education, telephone triage and coordination of care experience.
  • Ability to work in the Boston clinic.
  • Ability to work: 40 hours/week, 4/5 days per week (8 or 10 hr shifts available). Mon- Friday 730am-4pm or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30-6pm.
