This Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for:
- Cleaning, maintaining and stocking the anesthesia workroom and equipment in all operating rooms and satellite anesthetizing locations
- Assisting the anesthesia provider in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia
- Providing specialized equipment to assist anesthesia staff when appropriate
- Preparing anesthesia machines and carts for use the following day
- Assembling and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions for anesthesia provider
- Working with perioperative team to ensure prompt OR turnover
- Assisting with difficult airway management by providing equipment needs such as video laryngoscope and fiberoptic intubation cart
- Preparing age appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway support
To qualify, you must have:
- A High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- 1-2 years of work experience in a clinical care setting
- The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
- The ability to exchange information on factual matters, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors, and/or hospital employees
- The ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies
