Hours of Operation: 6am – 5:30pm Monday-Friday, 20 hours a week, no weekends- shift time(s) are flexible hours

This Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning, maintaining and stocking the anesthesia workroom and equipment in all operating rooms and satellite anesthetizing locations
  • Assisting the anesthesia provider in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia
  • Providing specialized equipment to assist anesthesia staff when appropriate
  • Preparing anesthesia machines and carts for use the following day
  • Assembling and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions for anesthesia provider
  • Working with perioperative team to ensure prompt OR turnover
  • Assisting with difficult airway management by providing equipment needs such as video laryngoscope and fiberoptic intubation cart
  • Preparing age appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway support

To qualify, you must have:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in a clinical care setting
  • The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
  • The ability to exchange information on factual matters, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors, and/or hospital employees
  • The ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies
