This role oversees the daily operations of the Needham Imaging Department, managing patient scheduling, staff coordination, workflow, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality patient care. It also includes supervising staff, maintaining imaging quality and equipment, developing protocols, and contributing to staff education and professional development.
New hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000.00
Key Responsibilities

Manages Daily Operations: Oversees day-to-day functions of the Needham Imaging Department, including patient scheduling, staff coordination, and resource allocation to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.

Quality & Compliance Oversight: Maintains imaging quality standards, collects regulatory data, and ensures compliance with hospital protocols and industry regulations.

Staff Supervision & Development: Hires, trains, evaluates, and disciplines staff; conducts performance reviews and supports ongoing employee development.

Equipment & Inventory Management: Oversees inventory levels, recommends equipment purchases, reports malfunctions, and coordinates preventive maintenance and emergency procedures.

Clinical & Professional Contribution: Performs imaging procedures within scope of practice, develops protocols, stays current with industry knowledge, and leads educational programs for staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associates degree in allied health or radiology required; Bachelor’s degree in either field preferred
Experience
- 6 years of clinical experience to include leadership experience
License/Certification
- Current Massachusetts license as a Radiologic Technologist or certification according to specific imaging specialty.
- Current registration: ARRT as a Radiologic or MRI Technologist, or ARDMS – according to specific imaging specialty.
