Position Summary:

The HR Operations & Benefits Coordinator, CHPA (Children’s Hospital Pediatric Associates) is a critical position that aids in the daily functions of the Foundation’s HR Department. Key responsibilities encompass administering foundation benefits, managing onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, ensuring accurate and prompt processing of monthly billing, supporting payroll operations, supporting leave of absence workflows, and handling complex HRIS entries.

This is a hybrid position required to work onsite 3 days/week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Maintains CHPA employee-related databases. Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company. Prepares periodic reports for management as necessary or requested.
  • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services. Assist employees with any claim issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Partners with payroll to maintain payroll database, including payroll reconciliation, calculating and maintain proper payroll administration of PFML related payments.
  • Conducts CHPA faculty new hire orientation meetings annually and hosts Open Enrollment Seminars each Fall.
  • Manages vendor payments by preparing and submitting check requests and wire transfers for recurring invoices; including but not limited to Parking, Daycare, Medical/Dental, Life Insurance, Workers’ Compensation.
  • Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including but not limited to any related to the EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, Department of Labor, Worker Compensation, etc.
  • Participates in staff meetings, representing CHPA at HR-related meetings and events, and attend other meetings and seminars as needed or requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of progressive HR experience is required, encompassing a broad scope of responsibilities and experience working with complex data.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred,
  • General Knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, coaching, consulting, and analytical skills.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and juggling several priorities at once.
  • Must be flexible and comfortable working with demanding clients.
