Physician Assistant Sports Medicine
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages in Sports Medicine.
- Performing pre-op care including diagnosing patient condition and prescribing care including surgery.
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting as a first or second assistant in OR cases.
- Managing transfers of patients from OR to ICU.
- Developing post-op care plans and preparing patients and families for patient discharge.
- Working four 10-hour shifts; Monday – Friday.
- Rotating to all satellites as well as main campus (Longwood).
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- A Master’s from a Physician Assistant program.
Experience:
- The analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.
- Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and medicated fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
Licensure/ Certifications:
- A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
