We are currently seeking a 40-hour social worker for our Advocating Success for Kids (ASK) program. This position is part of Boston Children’s Hospital Primary Care @ Longwood. The ASK team includes developmental-behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, social workers, and educators who work to address the developmental, learning, and/or behavioral needs of children seen at several community health centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing assessment, treatment, and advocacy for a diverse group of children and adolescents.
- Collaborating with families and school systems to advocate for appropriate services through attendance at IEP or other school related meetings, case management and crisis intervention as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in social work
Experience:
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Experience working with children and families in a medical social work environment preferred
- Special education or autism also experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast pace setting, managing tasks in a timely manner.
- Enthusiasm, optimism, and self-motivation.
Licensure/Certifications:
- LCSW in the state MA, LICSW in the state of MA preferred
