- Administering the hospital’s Value Analysis Process for complex clinical commodity portfolio(s) including orthopedic, cardiac and vascular implants, and anesthesia products
- Providing leadership in clinical standardization issues and acts as a liaison to physicians, nursing, and other clinical staff
- Coordinating the clinical product evaluation and implementation value added change process, including conversions and updates and providing clinical and analytical support to the supply chain department by initiating product trials and changes
- Working with client departments to foster creative ideas to decrease the cost of care delivery
- Gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems improvements
- Collaborating with Clinical leadership in to bring expert guidance and solutions related to best practice methodologies and value analysis
Education & Experience requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree and a combination of at least 5 years of combined nursing, purchasing, contracting and/or direct experience working with complex clinical supplies in a healthcare environment is required
- 2 years of direct clinical care experience is preferred
- Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems, requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced cross-functional knowledge
- Strong communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well-developed writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and implement new programs and procedures
- Ability to perform clinical research to identify best practices associated with selected medical/surgical products
