We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room
Key Responsibilities
- Providing sterile instruments to surgical team during surgery.
- Organizing and arranging sterile instruments and supplies.
- Collecting and removing contaminated items at completion of cases.
- Assisting circulating nurses in maintaining adequate stock of sterile supplies.
- Working collaboratively in a family-centered peri-operative environment.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience
- 1 year of OR experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- 1 year of cardiovascular OR experience preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications
- A certificate from a Surgical Technologist program.
- Employment as Surgical Technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013, or Individuals who have completed a training program for surgical technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service in lieu of a certificate from a Surgical Technologist program.
*Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time, 40 hour per week hires with over 2 years of direct OR experience as a Surgical Technologist (who have not worked here in the past 2 years). *
