Performs routine procedures in MRI on a scheduled and emergency basis while providing a safe environment for patients and following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.
New hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15000.
Key Responsibilities:

Performing MRI Procedures: The primary responsibility is to perform routine and emergency MRI procedures, ensuring all protocols and standards are followed for accurate and safe imaging.

Patient Assessment and Care: Assess the physical and emotional status of patients and their parents, developing a care plan that meets the specific needs of each patient. This includes explaining the examination process and answering any questions.

Equipment and Quality Control: Select appropriate MRI equipment and technical parameters to distinguish between pathologic and normal anatomy, while also following quality control procedures to ensure data integrity and equipment functionality.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, including patient identification protocols, HIPAA regulations, High Reliability Training, and maintaining certifications and licensure.

Communication and Professional Development: Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team, participate in meetings, maintain documentation, and pursue ongoing professional education to stay current with industry standards and practices.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Associates degree; Allied Health
License/Certification
- MRI registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and completed within 18 months of hire date.
- Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification
- BLS certification.
