Position Summary / Department Summary:
The Epic Analyst I serves as a member of the team supporting the Epic Cadence and/or Referrals application. This role requires an understanding of operational workflows and how they interact with Epic systems. The Analyst I assists with basic configuration tasks, troubleshooting, ticket analysis, and ongoing system maintenance under the guidance of senior analysts.
Key Responsibilities:

Support operational areas with foundational knowledge of the Epic Cadence and/or Referrals application.

Assist in resolving routine issues and escalate complex problems to senior team members.

Outline basic build requirements and identify considerations for completing tasks.

Participate in triage by reviewing incoming tickets and performing first-level analysis.

Identify when requests should transition to project-based work.

Perform basic configuration tasks following departmental standards, including updates to rules, visit types, and templates.

Document decisions, update business rules, and assist in creating user documentation.

Conduct unit testing on assigned build work and collaborate with team members on QA efforts.

Support integrations impacting the Epic application and research relevant system functionality.

Participate in upgrades by reviewing release notes and assisting in test script creation and execution.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with end-users regarding application issues and updates.

Gather feedback from super-users and assist with delivering training as needed.
Required Certification:
-
Epic certification in Cadence and/or Referrals (or ability to obtain within the designated time frame).
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree; OR
-
Associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience; OR
-
High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience.
Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Epic Cadence and/or Referrals in an operational or IT capacity, including template management or basic build work.
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
