The Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) provides post-surgical care for children and young adults, following general surgery, transplantation, neurosurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, orthopedic surgery and trauma. Our MISCU has one of the highest volume pediatric intensive care units in the U.S. and is one of the largest extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing care to patients with life-threatening/potentially life-threatening conditions which are complex, progressive and rapidly changing medically, surgically and traumatically for patients ranging in age from newborn to early-adulthood.
  • Working in a fast paced, collaborative environment with many opportunities for learning and career growth with comprehensive orientation to meet individual needs

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
BSN required

Experience:

  • 1 year of RN experience required.
  • 2 years’ experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Pediatric or adult ICU preferred. Pediatric ICU experience, preferred.

Licensure/ Certifications:

  • Massachusetts RN Licensure

Sign On Bonus:

  • This position is eligible for a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2 years).

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
