The Paralegal II and Corporate Paralegal roles provide support for all corporate activities, including corporate governance activities, and other legal and technical support, as needed to support the work of the attorneys in the OGC.

Candidates will be evaluated and placed at Level 2 or Level 3, based on experience, competencies, and alignment with career ladder criteria.

Level 2 — Paralegal II
Experience/Education Requirements: 5 years of experience as a paralegal administrator in a general counsel or law firm setting. Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies required, Paralegal certificate preferred.
Salary Range: $69,888.00 – $111,831.00
Typical Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and manages administrative programs and systems supporting the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
  • OGC System Administrator for legal matter management and contract management systems.
  • Manages contracts submitted to the OGC contracting system and trains Hospital personnel who use contract management systems.
  • Oversees certain categories of contracts and programs, including Personal/Outside Consulting/Advisory Board Agreements, Conflict of Interest Review Process, and Housing Loan Program.
  • Reviews and negotiates certain contracts; drafts and reviews simple amendments; and revises and manages template agreements.

Level 3 – Corporate Paralegal
Experience/Education Requirements: 10 years of experience as a corporate paralegal and contracts administrator in an in-house general counsel or law firm setting required. Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies and Paralegal certificate required.
Salary Range: $83,242.00 – $133,193.00
Typical Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and manage contract templates, agreements, amendments, and related administrative documents.
  • Support the development and maintenance of OGC administrative programs, systems, policies, procedures, and records management.
  • Serve as system administrator for matter and contract management systems, including intake, user support, and leadership reporting.
  • Manage contract intake workflow and train Hospital staff on contract management processes and systems.
  • Oversee designated contract programs, including consulting/advisory and clinical agreements, and coordinate Housing Loan Program documentation under attorney direction.
  • Assist with corporate governance activities.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
