Boston Children’s Hospital’s acclaimed Social Work Emergency Services team responds to social needs and issues in the Emergency Department and throughout inpatient services. We are seeking a full time clinical coordinator social worker to join our Emergency Services (ED) team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervisory oversight of a number of social workers in the ED in consultation with the social work manager.
- In collaboration with the social work manager, this position will participate in programmatic development and will support the implementation of program initiatives within the assigned service area.
- Serves as a primary liaison with the multidisciplinary team regarding clinical concerns or case practice decisions and will escalate quality assurance issues, and thematic trends to leadership as needed.
- Provides direct clinical care and coordination of services for assigned patients.
- Coordinates patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitors patient progress and adjusts care plans as appropriate.
- Manages assigned caseload and ensures timely service delivery.
- Educates patients and families regarding treatment plans and community resources.
- Conducts psychosocial assessments and implements established interventions.
- Identifies patient needs and facilitates appropriate referrals and services.
- Participates in interdisciplinary meetings and contributes to care planning.
- Supports implementation of program initiatives within assigned service are
- Provides feedback on program processes and patient care outcome
- Participates in departmental meetings and case conferences
- Serves as a clinical resource within scope of role.
- Manages individual workflow and prioritizes individual responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- A master’s degree in social work
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of social work experience required. Several years of medical social work leadership experience highly preferred
- Strong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities.
- Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of racial and ethnic populations.
- Bicultural/Bilingual competency is a plus.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment (sense of humor is valued!).
Licensure/Certification:
LICSW in the state of MA required
This position is 100% onsite and new hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus
Schedule: M-F 8:00AM – 4:30PM
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
