Position Summary:
Participating in all aspects of investment and manager research. Assists in fund screening, portfolio analysis and due diligence of prospective investments. Monitors existing investments. Contributes to the achievement of the portfolio’s long-term investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing general and analytical support to the team on day-to-day tasks.
  • Monitoring existing portfolio investments including performance, risk / exposures and news flow across asset classes.
  • Reviewing existing manager updates / letters and presenting to the team.
  • Assisting in new manager due diligence by participating in calls and meetings, researching the opportunities, and assessing potential portfolio fit.
  • Preparing reports for the review of manager level and strategy level performance.
  • Developing and preparing investment committee materials.
  • Contributing to ad hoc research projects.
  • Developing and maintaining analytical models.
  • Attending fund manager and annual meetings to evaluate current and prospective managers
  • Networking and learning to uncover new investment opportunities.
  • Operating and supporting as an integral member of the investment team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or a closely related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience, preferably in an investment industry setting.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong work ethic and professional attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Passion for investing with some basic knowledge of institutional investment management.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, perform various quantitative and qualitative analyses and summarize findings.
  • Well-developed collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player who prioritizes success of the team over individual achievements.
  • Unquestionable ethical standards.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects within scheduled deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
