Department Summary: Patient Experience Representative I Hemodialysis. Monday-Friday, along with every other Saturday from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. *When working a Saturday, the employee would have Wednesday off that same week.

In Hemodialysis the patient is connected to a large machine called a dialyzer that takes blood out of the body in a continuous process, cleans and filters it, and returns it to the patient’s bloodstream.

This role is eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates, BCH or agency temps and not eligible for former BCH employees who have worked here in the past 12 months). *Terms/taxes apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides positive and effective customer service to patients, families, and visitors
  • Greets, screens, directs, and registers patients
  • Schedules patient encounters, monitors daily schedules and coordinates flow to optimize patient experience
  • Accurately collects, verifies, and records all patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Complete medication prior authorizations
  • Providing routine clerical support as needed to the transplant unit
  • Accurately record dialysis statistics in excel
  • Fax/upload records as required
  • creating patient encounter in Epic
  • Order and stock supplies and inventory
  • Processing Engineering requests
  • Generates patient labels and identification bracelets.

Education: High-school or GED diploma required

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
