The Pharmacy Technician I supports the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services by preparing, packaging, and delivering medications to patient care areas while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. This role assists with enteral cart fills, stocks and maintains automated dispensing cabinets, supports inventory control activities, and prepares emergency code trays to ensure medications and supplies are readily available for patient care. The Pharmacy Technician I also contributes to the training of pharmacy personnel, maintains accurate inventory and medication distribution processes, and works collaboratively with the pharmacy team to promote efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma / GED
Experience:
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to learn effective techniques and processes resulting in few errors or defects
- Basic knowledge of basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current registration as a pharmacy technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy
- Current national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Must possess the following pharmaceutical knowledge/skills:
- Basic pharmaceutical calculations
- Basic knowledge of medical & pharmaceutical terminology
- Drug Classification
- FDA/Legal Compliance
- Quality control
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
