Position Summary/ Department Summary:
Nurse Practitioner, Developmental Medicine

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing direct patient care in an ambulatory clinical setting with an interdisciplinary team of developmental-behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, and APRNs providing neurodevelopmental evaluations and on-going follow up for children age birth thru adolescence.
  • Presenting concerns include but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Elimination Disorders.
  • Assessing patients’ medical, behavioral, and psychological needs and conditions
  • Prescribing and monitoring behavioral health medications
  • Providing psycho-education and behavioral recommendations
  • Working 40 hours per week, five 8 hour days Monday through Friday

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

  • A Master of Science in Nursing required, Doctorate preferred

Experience:

  • Experience in Developmental-Behavioral pediatrics/providing care to patients with neurodevelopmental conditions preferred
  • 1 year of nursing experience required
  • 3+ years pediatric experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Licensure/ Certifications:
MA license to practice as Nurse Practitioner (certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner required)

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
