Key Responsibilities

• Recruiting blood donors via telephone and mail. Coordinating recruitment and donor scheduling with other recruitment staff, and administrative staff and collection staff. Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Developing annual collection goals with recruitment colleagues, operations supervisor and administrative manager. Compiling and maintaining accurate statistical reports for tracking productivity.
• Organizing and implementing strategies for working with identified sponsor groups, employees and families to ensure maximum participation in both hospital based and bloodmobile donor programs.
• Educating potential donors and donor groups about blood donation through presentations and educational materials. Functioning as a resource person for patients, families, staff and donors regarding blood needs and usage.
• Participating in the development of special promotions and materials to enhance donor recruitment and retention.
• Orienting and training new recruitment and administrative staff as needed.
• Participating in the development of the annual promotional budget. Maintaining supplies of promotional materials.
• Responsible for specific programs as assigned, contributing to blood donor recruitment program through building lasting and meaningful relationships with donors, prospective donors and donor groups.
• May be required to attend offsite meetings and events by utilizing personal, ride share, or public transportation.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

• High school Diploma/GED, and at least two years of work experience
• Associates degree preferred

Experience:

• At least two years of work experience

Licensure/Certifications:

• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Shift/hours:

• Full-time 40 hours per week
