Position Summary/Department Summary:

We are seeking experienced pelvic health Physical Therapists to support the Department of Physical Therapy in providing high-quality rehabilitation services. Candidates will be evaluated at Level I or Level II based on experience, competencies, licensure, and alignment with career ladder criteria. Be a part of our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality outpatient rehabilitation for our pediatric patients. In this position, you will work in the outpatient department treating clients of all genders with Pelvic Health issues including pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, and incontinence, as well as developmental, orthopedic, and neurological conditions as needed.

Level I – Pelvic Health Physical Therapist
Experience: 0–3 years with pelvic health/floor experience
Salary Range: $74,090-$118,550

Level II – Pelvic Health Physical Therapist

Experience: 3+ years with pelvic health/floor experience
Salary Range: $78,541-$125,653

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
  • Performing pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Establish plan of care to achieve established goals related to age, medical history and dysfunction.
  • Collaborating closely with a team of providers to provide integrated care and follow-up.
  • Demonstrating professional competence and clinical reasoning in assessing patient’s condition at the onset and through all phases of skilled physical therapy.
  • Performing diagnostic evaluations upon referral by physician. Verifying appropriateness of referral, contacting physician as necessary.
  • Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs. Establishing treatment goals and prescribing and administering appropriate physical therapy procedures.
  • Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs and providing instruction and education to patients and families. Monitoring treatment outcomes, modifying program as needed and communicating recommendations to physicians and other providers.
  • Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in patient medical record according to established documentation standards. Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals and other materials for schools, providers, payors, and others as needed. Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
  • Contributing to teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. DPT/Doctorate in physical therapy preferred.

Experience:

  • Adult or Pediatric Pelvic floor experience required. Additional training and mentorship will be provided. Pediatric Pelvic floor experience highly preferred.
  • APTA CAPP-Pelvic certification or equivalent advanced training/certification for pelvic floor PT is desired but not required to be hired. Please NOTE- BCH will pay for CAPP-Pelvic certification or equivalent certification, if hired.
  • Excellent Analytical and Communication skills.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Physical Therapist license in the state of MA.

Coverage needs include all BCH outpatient locations as these physical therapists could be asked to work at any location – Boston, Waltham, Weymouth or Needham

Full-time, 40-hour positions. There is some flexibility for less hours

**40-hour new hires are eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus! Sign on bonus is pro-rated for less hours**

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
