The Director of Infrastructure will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of the
company’s IT infrastructure. This role will oversee multiple teams, including Virtualization/VMware, Citrix, SAN Storage, Software Defined Datacenter, Server Systems, Database Administrators, Desktop Engineering, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). The Director of Infrastructure will ensure the efficient and secure operation of the company’s IT systems and support the growth and scalability of the business.

The Director, Infrastructure will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing an IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the company’s business goals. Ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable to support current and future business needs.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of IT professionals across various technologies, including Virtualization/VMware, Citrix, SAN Storage, Software Defined Datacenter, Server Systems, Database Administration, Desktop Engineering, and VDI. Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Overseeing hiring, training, performance evaluation, and career development for the infrastructure team.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation and availability of IT systems and services. Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices for system maintenance, security, and disaster recovery. Monitoring system performance and ensuring the timely resolution of issues.
  • Planning and executing infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. Collaborating with other IT and business leaders to align infrastructure projects with organizational goals.
  • Developing and managing the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI. Approving and overseeing procurement of infrastructure-related hardware, software, and services.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect company data and systems. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Masters is preferred
  • Certification in EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience is required
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software,
  • networking, and data storage systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), Citrix environments, SAN storage solutions, and software-defined data centers.
  • Strong skills in server management, database administration, and desktop engineering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and lead high performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hybrid position with 2 days a week onsite requirement
