- Serving as a liaison to Engineering, Environmental Services, Health Technology Management, Materials Management, Safety, and other departments as needed to resolve equipment, supply, safety, compliance, operational, and cleaning issues.
Regulatory, Safety, and Compliance:
- Participates in safety huddles and Engineering/Safety/ESD rounds for compliance.
- Monitors environment to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, including JCAHO.
- Conducts weekly audits (e.g., eye wash stations) and organizes storage areas and equipment.
- Coordinates safety inspections and works with Safety personnel for proper supply storage.
- Ensures annual safety inspections of electrical equipment.
Equipment Management:
- Communicates with staff to address and resolve equipment needs and issues.
- Maintains and manages equipment and furniture inventory, ensuring all items are functional.
- Keeps an accurate record of medical equipment details, collaborating with Health Technology Management for issue resolution.
- Conducts equipment inventory, tags items needing repair, and ensures timely cleaning and stocking of supplies.
Administrative and Patient Experience Rep:
- Handles phone calls and assists with information requests.
- Greets and directs patients and visitors, optimizing patient flow and resource use.
- Uses systems like ALICE, EPIC/Prelude ADT for managing patient information and requests.
- Coordinates with departments for clinical/administrative services and collects medical records.
- Performs routine administrative tasks and organizes department events and meetings.
To qualify, you must have:
- High School Diploma
- One year of customer service, administrative, or experience in a health care setting.
- Basic knowledge of clinical, operational, safety, and compliance needs of the units/departments.
- Ability to interpret and apply safety and compliance guidelines.
- Basic critical thinking skills for problem resolution using sound judgment and appropriate escalation.
- Skilled at providing effective customer service to support departmental and hospital operations.
- Ability to appropriately respond to sensitive or urgent situations.
- Proficiency in managing data within medical systems such as ALICE, EPIC/Prelude ADT, Bed Management, I Need It, etc.
- Ability to promote and demonstrate teamwork.
