This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Performing comprehensive physical assessments and obtaining detailed patient histories
- Diagnosing and managing a wide range of skeletal disorders, from common to complex conditions
- Ordering, interpreting, and following up on diagnostic testing, including DEXA scans, radiographic imaging, and laboratory studies
- Collaborating with endocrinologists, orthopedic physicians, nutritionists, physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Prescribing appropriate medications and supplements, such as bisphosphonates, calcium, and vitamin D
- Providing education and counseling to patients and families regarding prevention strategies, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to promote bone health
- Ensuring timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
- Working a 40 hours per week, four 10-hour days, traveling to Boston, Waltham, and potentially Peabody in the future
To qualify, you must have:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
- A current MA license as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- 1–3 years of experience as an NP preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills essential
*Sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 for fulltime 40 hours (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
