The role involves coordinating patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation policies, and collaborating with department leaders to identify trends and strategic opportunities. Responsibilities include managing staff, developing and implementing training and educational programs, overseeing operations of a Sleep Center, participating in research projects, and recommending and implementing procedural and program improvements
Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinating Patient Care: Work with medical staff, nursing, and other hospital departments to ensure effective coordination of patient care.

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and maintain compliance with departmental, hospital, regulatory (HIPAA), and accreditation (Joint Commission) policies and guidelines.

Staff Management and Development: Train and onboard Sleep technologists, manage technologist performance, plan and arrange staff educational programs, and maintain staff work schedules.

Strategic Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with department leaders to identify industry trends, recommend new clinical and technical programs, and implement changes to improve processes and procedures.

Operational Oversight: Serve as a liaison for other departments, ensure lab safety and operation, plan for sleep laboratory growth, and manage supplies and resources according to patient care needs.
Qualifications:
Education
- Associate’s Degree in relevant concentration or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of clinical sleep lab experience.
License/Certification
- RPSGT Registration
- CPR
- BLS
