Clinical Assistant for our Outpatient Psychiatry Department.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting clinician during examinations; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights and lengths.
- Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
- Facilitating patient flow through the clinic.
- Performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic, including supply inventory, and stocking/organizing exam rooms.
- Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
- Collecting, verifying and recording required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
- Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
- Working Monday – Friday day shifts, varying start and end times between 8am-7pm.
Minimum qualifications:
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 1 year CA experience, CNA Certification, or one round of clinical rotations preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred.
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
