Position summary
The Senior Project Manager leads and oversees multiple complex and high priority projects that require significant resources, cross functional collaboration, and strategic oversight. This role serves as a subject matter expert and consultant to clinical and administrative leadership, driving the design, implementation, and evaluation of key initiatives. The Senior Project Manager partners closely with stakeholders to ensure successful execution, provides analytics and reporting, and recommends process improvements to support organizational goals.
Key responsibilities
Leads the development, execution, and management of complex, cross functional projects and programs
Partners with clinical, administrative, and operational stakeholders to design and implement project charters, pilots, and initiatives
Manages multiple concurrent projects, adjusting priorities and addressing challenges to meet deadlines and objectives
Develops business plans and strategic recommendations for leadership, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth
Builds and applies analytical frameworks to assess project feasibility, performance, and outcomes
Analyzes financial and operational data to support informed decision making
Facilitates meetings and collaboration across teams to build alignment and consensus
Monitors project progress, identifies risks, and escalates issues with recommended solutions
Prepares and delivers executive level presentations, including strategy and program updates
Provides guidance and mentorship to project staff, supporting professional development and performance
Minimum qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of six years of progressive experience in healthcare management, project management, consulting, or a related field
Experience managing multiple complex projects preferred
Experience working in or with clinical environments strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of clinical concepts, terminology, and workflows, preferably in pediatric or child focused settings
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data reporting tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively within a matrixed organization
Schedule: Full time, typically Monday through Friday business hours, with flexibility as needed to support project demands

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
