We are seeking an OR Inventory Management Specialist for our Boston location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of ParEx inventory management software program; including product reconciliation, new product entry and collaboration with Supply Chain to resolve open requisitions and product back orders.
  • Entering new product requests in MedApproved to generate Peoplesoft numbers and appropriate patient charges when applicable.
  • Daily stocking of procedure rooms and instrument transport to SPD for processing.
  • Maintaining inventory of specialized surgical supplies and equipment for assigned service(s).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Up to one year of basic technical training in a perioperative and or supply chain related field preferred.
  • The knowledge of computers. Proficient in word and excel software programs.
  • The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
  • The ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.

Education:

  • The level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school level of educational development

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
