Position Summary
In this role you will perform the technical component of vestibular testing per Hospital protocol which may include placing the appropriate electrodes, leads and goggles on patients and running a predetermined test protocol

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtains a detailed history of the vestibular symptoms and other significant medical and family history. Assists in maintaining the child’s participation in the tasks during vestibular evaluations.
  • Reports vestibular data and results to the Clinical Manager of Vestibular Lab.
  • Documents malfunctioning devices, device replacement and repairs; and maintains organization and records of equipment in the Vestibular Lab.
  • Maintains organization of clinical environment and toys. Washes and sanitizes toys and equipment parts.
  • Maintains clinical and research files and records. Performs routine clerical duties, such as sending out patient reports, opening and sorting mail, delivering and retrieving patient records, photocopying materials and sorting, collating and distributing documents.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

  • Associates degree required; Healthcare related majors, such as Biology, Bioengineering, or Communication Disorders.

Experience:

  • Hospital or healthcare experience preferred

Experience with pediatrics preferred

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
